Precision milling is a machining process that enables the production of parts with complex geometries.
Unlike turning, which removes the chips by rotating only the workpiece, in milling it is special tools, the milling cutters, that rotate, while the component is anchored to the bench that moves by translation.
With more than 40 state-of-the-art CNC machining centres, including 15 four-axis and as many 22 five-axis machining centres, VECA is able to mill components with tolerances and roughness of less than a hundredth of a millimetre.
Our highly specialised staff thus produces parts with mechanical and dimensional characteristics suitable for vehicles and machinery with very high performance and/or subject to very high mechanical and thermal stress (Automotive F1, Aerospace).
